چکیده
Abstract “Nanicão Corupá” (Musa acuminata) comes from Southern Brazil. The tropical climate in the region provides unique characteristics, including a sweeter flavor. This difference resulted Geographical Indication Recognition and Designation of Origin, recognized by National Institute Industrial Property (INPI) Considering that has some peculiarities related to there are no studies evaluating this banana cultivars, purpose present study was investigate qualitative quantitative phenolic composition aerial parts HPLC-ESI-MS/MS comparison 46 commercial standards compounds. Aerial (flower, leaves, fruit stem) were collected macerated methanolic extracts, which partitioned with solvents different polarities (dichloromethane ethyl acetate). analysis performed using sample pre-treatment, chromatographic mass spectrometer parameters. Results demonstrated total 11 compounds identified analyzed samples. majority acetate fraction (BFEF) flowers: rutin (36.06 ± 0.23) isoquercetin (28.83 5). isoquercetin, naringerin myricitrin for first time Musa genus.

Carbohydrate binding properties of banana (Musa acuminata) lectin
Examination of lectins of banana (Musa acuminata) and the closely related plantain (Musa spp.) by the techniques of quantitative precipitation, hapten inhibition of precipitation, and isothermal titration calorimetry showed that they are mannose/glucose binding proteins with a preference for the a-anomeric form of these sugars. Both generate precipitin curves with branched chain a-mannans (yeas...
متن کاملExtraction and characterization of pectin from Saba banana [Musa ‘saba’(Musa acuminata x Musa balbisiana)] peel wastes: A preliminary study
Saba banana, Musa ‘saba’(Musa acuminata x Musa balbisiana) peel is an underutilized waste from processed banana manufacturing in the Philippines. The feasibility of saba banana peel pectin for use in food processing was assessed. Pectin from saba banana peel was extracted under two different extraction conditions. Pectin extraction was carried out using hydrochloric acid (0.5N, pH 1.5) and citr...

Duchesnea indica (D. indica) is an important traditional Chinese medicine, and has long been clinically used to treat cancer in Asian countries. It has been described previously as a rich source of phenolic compounds with a broad array of diversified structures, which are the major active ingredients. However, an accurate and complete phenolic profiling has not been determined yet. In the prese...

The aerial parts of several Haplopappus species (Asteraceae), known under the common name "baylahuen", are used as herbal teas in Chile and Argentina. In Chile, "baylahuen" comprises H. multifolius, H. taeda, H. baylahuen and H. rigidus. Little is known about the chemical identity of the infusion constituents in spite of widespread consumption. The aim of the present work was the characterizati...
